Prairie Girl: A poem by Doris Lueth Stengel
Let me walk in prairie grass
And hear it whisper as I pass
Let me gaze at prairie skies
Until they over-spill my eyes.
Let me feel the prairie wind
Fresh and stinging on my skin.
Then I'll know that I am whole
Because I have a prairie soul.
