Charles A. Lindbergh State Park

The Charles A. Lindbergh State Park is located on the Mississippi River. The park offers camping in a wooded setting, hiking and skiing trails and picnicking. Adjacent to the park is the Historic Home of Charles A. Lindbergh, Sr., father of the famous aviator, Charles A. Lindbergh, Jr.
Cross Lake Recreation Area

Cross Lake Recreation Area is located at the Pine River Dam on Cross Lake. This Crosslake, Minnesota recreation area offers camping, boating, swimming, picnicking, fishing, and playground areas. Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area is located 15 miles northeast of Brainerd on Hwy 210. The campground is located on the northwest shore of the Portsmouth Mine Pit Lake (352 feet deep). Mine pit lakes are excellent for fishing trout, northern, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass and panfish. The lake is also great for scuba diving and canoeing. The recreation area includes mountain biking trails. Nearby attractions include the Croft Mine Historical Park, and the Cuyuna Range Historical Museum.

The Gull Lake Recreational Area sits on the Gull River at the outlet of the Gull Lake chain. The recreation area offers camping, boating, swimming, picnicking, fishing, interpretive/hiking trails, and playground areas. The boat ramp and beach are located right on Gull Lake. The campground offers well-spaced wooded camping sites.

Stony Point campground is located in a forested area neat the town of Walker. The campground is adjacent to Leech Lake. Many large trees aged over 100 years old surround the campsites. Services and amenities include: camping, boating, fishing, bird watching, nature trails, and swimming. All sites are now reservable.
