Spring Social Distancing in the Brainerd Lakes Area

While we are all practicing social distancing this Spring due to COVID-19, don't forget that the great outdoors is still an option for enjoying your day. In the Brainerd Lakes Area there are so many great spots for spending time outdoors and exploring alone or with your kids. For hours of fun, visit Mille Lacs Lake and walk the frozen shores looking for unique shells and rocks, and enjoy the views!

Less than 10 minutes from Brainerd, Mille Lacs has easy access all around the lake with an overlook in Garrison, and plenty of roadside stops and launching areas. Garrison Bay is a great place to see the ice shelves as the lake starts to thaw. You'll find layers and layers of pushed ice creating beautiful walls that you can only see this time of year. Don't miss it! Scroll down to view the gallery and a map of Mille Lacs Lake.

As always, practice social distancing safety and explore alone or in small groups with your family.
