Come to your senses.....smell the fresh air, feel the physical challenge and exuberance, see the pristine wilderness, and hear the quiet of Minnesota's backdrop.

The Tour of Lakes is a recreational ride for cyclists of all abilities and is NOT a race. This year's tour will begin and end in at the Hallett Community Center in Crosby, MN. Route choices are approximately 41 and 70 miles with two food stops available on the 41 mile route, and four on the 70 mile route. Our food stops are famous for their abundance and variety.

Nothing quite matches the Tour of Lakes.

Ride the Lakes Area

The 2005 Tour of Lakes will begin at the Hallett Communiy Center, 470 8th St. NE, Crosby, MN.

Check in and start anytime between 6:00 and 8:00 a.m. These start times should allow most riders to return to the start area by mid-afternoon. All riders must plan to be off their respective routes by 3:00 p.m..

The last rest stop will close at 2:30 p.m. Route Support will end at 3:30

The Tour of Lakes encourages family participation. Bikes pulling trailers will be considered as one unit and will receive 1 shirt, unless two entries are submitted. Riders under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Size small is available in shirts this year.

The Tour of Lakes is a recreational ride for cyclists of all abilities and is not a race.

We are greatly concerned about the safety of our participants. All riders must obey the rules of the road, watching out for others as well as themselves. Our tour is entirely on public roads, and we must cooperate with other users. We require the use of an ANSI approved helmet by all entrants.

Services

Both routes will be monitored by support vehicles to aid in emergency situations and to help those with mechanical problems. Due to the large number of Tour of Lakes riders, priority will go to those with serious problems. Riders and their equipment are expected to be in good condition. As on all other rides, cyclists should carry tools, pump, and a spare tube. Route support will end at 3:30 p.m.

The Tour of Lakes is a non-profit event presented by the Paul Bunyan Cyclists. Any surplus revenues are used to promote safe cycling in our community..

Lodging and Dining
