The Division Points race brings in all the top racers from the NHRA Division Five, which includes eight states in the Midwest and part of Canada. Here you will see the Top Alcoh taol Dragsters and Funny Cars plus a number of other sportsman categories. Competing in the division circuit annual points race. Lightning-fast racing action! The cover band Thieves Carnival will perform from 9:00 pm - 1:00 am on Saturday night.

The Index Class Eliminator is a new addition to the Outlaw drag racing series at BIR! The Index Class Eliminator is the first race in the 3-series Outlaw Drag Racing at BIR and features Real Street, King Street, Outlaw and Pro Outlaw racing.

BIR will hold the Mini Cooper Can-Am Challenge on the new Competition Road Course at BIR. The Challenge will be open all Classic Minis and selected Mini-powered variants. Celebrate the Mini Cooper's 50th Anniversary at this BIR event!

Come join us in this 23rd annual event that features classic car drag racing on our 1/4-mile strip. This events is the 2nd race in the 3-series Outlaw Drag Racing at BIR. The same classic cars and more are on also display for your viewing and judging. On Saturday night, you can enjoy the local Fourth of July celebration and double your pleasure with BIR's Fireworks and Festivities. The band Rockfist will perform from 9:00 pm - 1:00 am on the 4th!

Brainerd International Raceway diversifies their drag racing schedule as they bring a new type of racing to the strip! Some of the fastest sport compact racers will compete on the quarter-mile drag strip at BIR. Friday includes open drifting and autocross and open Test & Tune. Live music will be provided by Series 5 from 9:00 pm - 1:00 am on Friday. Saturday includes qualifying and eliminations, competition drifting and auocross and a car show and stereo competion.

The Sports Car Club of America Formula cars, sport racers and GTs will return to Brainerd International Raceway to battle it out on the BIR's new Competion Road Course.

BIR will be rockin' on this 28th annual Brainerd International Raceway - NHRA Nationals, Minnesota's largest motor-sports event. NHRA Nationals is a collection of the biggest names in drag racing: John Force, Brandon Bernstein, Tony Schumacher, Tony Pedregon, Larry Dixon, Antron Brown, Jason Line, Greg Anderson, Warren Johnson, Kurt Johnson. These superstars of drag racing will be joined by many others as they converge at BIR in an awesome show of speed, color and pageantry. 330-mph nitro-burning Top Fuel Dragsters and Funny Cars. Every ticket includes a pit pass, where fans get access to drivers for autographs and can stand within feet of the race crews as they disassemble and re-assemble race cars. Live music will be provided Thursday by Hairball (9:00 pm - 12:30 am); Friday by Pop Rocks (8:00 pm - 10:00 pm) and by Uncle Chunk (10:30 pm - 1:00 am); and Saturday by Touched (8:00 pm - 10:00 pm) and by Monsters of Mock (10:30 pm - 1:00 am).

Motorcycle racing on the two road courses, alternating between the short course and long course, at BIR will provide 5 weekends of excitement at BIR. Fans have access ot the pit areas and riders.

Wednesday Night Drags--Street Legal Drag Racing 2009

Anyone who shows up on Race night with a street legal car (including trucks and motorcycles), a helmet and $25 can race on the track.

The light tree, burn-out box and scoreboard (which allows you to see your elapsed time at the finish line) are available for use, and an announcer will be calling the actions.

Spectators can watch for $5.

Everything you will need for your High Performance Driving Experience is provided. All you need to do is arrive and drive!

Your day will start with a classroom instruction session followed by a driving tour of the track with one of our experienced instructors.

Dust off the winter doldrums. Now it's time to get into your driving suit, helmet and gloves that we provide for you, and get buckled into the race car. The only thing that we ask you to bring is thin soled, closed toe, comfortable shoes. You are now ready to have a driving experience that you will never forget!
