Ski Gull benefits our community in a way no other organization can. Since its inception in 1987, our "Learn to Ski" program has taught over 1,000 6th graders a year at no cost to either the school districts or the students. Only this past season have we been required to charge a very small fee to the students to defer costs. We provide a facility for junior racers and the high school ski team to practice and compete, as well as providing an outdoor winter recreation center for our area's youth.

We need your support now more than ever. In past years, much of our funding has been generated through charitable gambling. Winter lift-ticket sales pay for roughly 1/3 of our annual expenses, and we rely on charitable gaming and donations for the remaining 2/3 of our revenue. Recently, two of our host sites have discontinued sponsoring the sale of pull-tabs for Ski Gull, hurting our income significantly. Summer events provided a small portion of these needed funds. Now we are counting on our annual Fall Banquet and a Turkey Roast at Kelly's Restaurant to generate the monies necessary to open our doors for the upcoming ski season.

Ski Gull provides a valuable service to the community, and we hope you would agree by making a contribution today so that we may continue to be a source of family activity and outdoor recreation. We are already indebted to so many of you for your generous contributions over the years, through individual donations, attendance at our annual fall dinner and auction, donated goods, and volunteer labor.
