| Team Purpose |
- The team coordinates resources for prevention, intervention,
treatment, and provides case consultation.
- The team utilizes various resources in Crow Wing County
to provide public and professional education to the
community at large. The Child Protection Team works
toward strengthening families through developing a supportive
environment.
- The team actively works toward fostering community
awareness in understanding child protection issues.
- The team provides funding to support local child protection
activities, events, and projects.

- Distributed positive parenting resource materials
at the Brainerd Lakes Commerce and Industry Show,Crosby Trade Show and Pequot Lakes Tiny Tot's Expo
- Sponsored public service announcement and poster contests
in county-wide schools
- Supported Crow Wing County Foster parent training and recognition event
- Provided funding to the Crow Wing County Foster Care Association for the "First Night in Care" backpack program
- Funded distribution of hundreds of Kare Kits for children
- Provided funding for ParentWorks, a basic intensive group therapy program for children and parents involved in the child protection court system
- Funded "Let's Prevent Abuse" curriculum in area schools
- Funded car seat training and distribution of new car seats
- Financially supported the Parent Support Outreach Program through Bridges of Hope
- Provided funding for the Crisis Nursery program
- Funded family camping retreat through Prevent Child Abuse Minnesota-Brainerd Chapter
- Sponsored media outreach for the Crow Wing County Teen pregnancy Prevention Coalition
- Funded structured activities for children in the Power Program at Northern Pines Mental Health Clinic
- Funded youth activies for the Warrior Worker Program
- Funded Respite Care for families of children with Severe Emotional Distrubance
- Sponsored a training on domestic violence and it's effect on children
