Fans who want to get a taste of what the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals is all about in August can get a full gullet during the Thunder at the Lakes NHRA Divisional Race this weekend. About the only things missing are the pro classes and about 20,000 insane fans camping in The Zoo. Otherwise, Thunder provides the same great level of racing.

At center stage are the high-powered Top Alcohol Dragsters and Funny Car, which rumble down the drag strip at 280 mph with 5-second times. Some of the best Top Alcohol pilots in the country compete at BIR during Thunder at the Lakes, putting on an incredible show in the process. Racers like Cy Chesterman, Vern Moats, Kirk Williams and Ed Schmeeckle are some of the best in the business and are perennial favorites at BIR's race.

It's a Dual Event Weekend (meaning fans need to only buy one ticket to get into both events) with the BMW club hitting the road course. And racing will go on rain or shine! Two events for the price of one!
